UK Vocational Qualifications Reform Programme

The UK Vocational Qualifications Reform Programme (UK VQRP) was established by the Skills Minister, Phil Hope in November 2005. It is a UK-wide programme including key partners in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with Scotland as an observer.

The programme is looking to reform vocational qualifications in order that we can arrive at qualifications which:
  • employers support
  • are more responsive to individual learner needs
  • are capable of recognising a wide range of achievement.
The LSC is the lead organisation of the Sub Programme 3: The Planning Funding and Delivery of Provision for Learners of the UK VQRP.
